Counting to 100 and Even & Odd

This week in math we have been reviewing numbers from 0 - 100 as well as learning about even and odd numbers. We know a number is even or odd by looking at the number in the ones place. If the number in the ones place is 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 it is even! We know this because all of these numbers can be split into 2 fair teams with the same amount on each team. 

Ask your child to show you the game we learned in class this week to practice our even and odd numbers! All you need is a deck of cards (remove the face cards).

Warm Feet for the Street Campaign

Hi everyone,  I have had some of you ask about the Warm Feet for the Street Campaign that the Ambassador Club students are organizing and that all grade 4 classes are participating in. Ones & Tens

Today in math we explored the idea behind ones and tens. We talked about how many ones can actually go in the ones place (no more than 9!) and why we have to change them out to the tens when it becomes 10.
