Reminders

- We are planning to make boats on Friday this week and have NO supplies yet! Please send your child with some supplies to build their boat. Ask them about their boat plan and the supplies that they are planning to use.

- Ask me about the Thinking Routine "It is/It is not" 

- Scholastic orders are due FRIDAY

Warm Feet for the Street Campaign

Hi everyone,  I have had some of you ask about the Warm Feet for the Street Campaign that the Ambassador Club students are organizing and that all grade 4 classes are participating in. If you would like to make a donation we would love to take it. We are accepting donations until Dec. 13 so that the students in the Ambassador Club have time to stuff the socks. We have had a generous parent donate approximately 90 pairs of socks so we are needing stuff to put in them. Please click on the link for items the Mustard Seed accepts for this campaign and items they don’t accept. Thank you in advance for your continued support of our initiatives. Doubles

Doubles, doubles we can add doubles!  Today we started learning about adding doubles.  1 + 1 = 2  2 + 2 = 4  3 + 3 = 6 4 + 4 = 8  5 + 5 = 10  6+ 6 = 12  7 + 7 = 14  8 + 8 = 16  9 + 9 = 18  10 + 10 = 20 Students should practice these daily and work on memorizing these! The better they understand them the easier it will be for them to manipulate them for mental math skills later on in the year.  Here is a fun song to help you practice: Doubles Song
